Process
How to apply for a Schengen visa from Pakistan
Two ways to read this: what we do for you, and what the Schengen process involves. Most refusals we see come from files people assembled alone.
With Travel Visa Pk
15+ years of experience, one adviser from first message to departure. This is what applying for a Schengen visa through us looks like.
- Step 1
Tell us your case
One message on WhatsApp or a visit to Blue Area: your job, your travel dates and who is going.
- Step 2
Free document check
We check what you already have against the current official list and tell you what is missing. No charge, no obligation.
- Step 3
We build the file
Cover letter, sponsor and employment papers, bank statement explanation, translations and the forms, prepared the way the embassy expects to see them.
- Step 4
Appointment and fees
We book the slot, tell you the exact fee to pay on the day and brief you on what happens at the centre.
- Step 5
Review, submit, track
A second adviser reviews the file before submission, then we track it until the decision.
- Step 6
After approval
Tickets, hotel, insurance and transfers arranged in one place, so your trip is not five separate bookings.
What the official Schengen process involves
- 1
Choose the right embassy: the country of your longest stay (or first entry if equal).
- 2
Book an appointment or register on the waiting list with that country's centre.
- 3
Collect the documents above; we review every page before submission.
- 4
Fill the application form and pay the visa fee plus service centre fee.
- 5
Attend the appointment for biometrics (fingerprints and photo) and submit your file.
- 6
Track your passport; most decisions arrive within 15 calendar days.
Where the application is submitted
- The embassy of your main destination (longest stay), or of first entry if stays are equalMost Schengen embassies in Pakistan accept files through VFS Global, TLScontact or BLS International; Germany uses its own waiting-list registration.
- German Embassy Islamabad / Consulate General Karachi (waiting list)
We book the appointment, prepare the file and tell you exactly what to carry on the day.
Common mistakes we fix before you submit
- Bank statement not signed and stamped by the bank, or covering less than 6 months.
- Missing FBR tax return acknowledgements or NTN certificate.
- Insurance below €30,000 or not covering every day of the trip.
- Applying to a country that is not your main destination.
- Large unexplained cash deposits just before printing the statement.
- Bookings, leave letter and form showing different travel dates.

FAQs
Schengen visa FAQs
What documents are required for a Schengen visit visa from Pakistan?
Everyone submits the signed form, passport (issued in the last 10 years), photo, CNIC copy, return flight and hotel reservations, €30,000 travel insurance, NADRA FRC in English, a 6-month signed and stamped bank statement, NTN certificate and FBR tax returns for 2 years. Employees, business owners, government staff, students and retirees add documents for their status.
How much is the Schengen visa price in Pakistan?
It depends on the visa type you need (tourist visa, family & friends visit visa, business visa or medical treatment visa) and on your documents, so we quote each file for free on WhatsApp before you pay anything. Any government or embassy fee is separate; your adviser confirms the current amount before you pay.
How much is the Schengen visa fee for Pakistanis?
The EU sets the Schengen visa fee; it is reduced for children aged 6 to 11 and children under 6 pay nothing. The visa application centre (VFS, TLS or BLS) charges its own service fee on top, which is different for each country. An adviser gives you the current total in rupees for your family before you book an appointment.
How long does a Schengen visa take from Pakistan?
The EU Visa Code sets a normal decision time of 15 calendar days from submission, extendable up to 45 days if more checks are needed. Getting an appointment can take longer than the decision itself, so start early.
Is there an urgent or express Schengen visa?
There is no paid express service. In genuinely urgent cases, such as a family emergency, a consulate may offer an earlier appointment. Tell us your situation and we will check the options for your country.
Which country should I apply to?
Apply to the country where you will spend the most nights. If your nights are equal, apply to the country you enter first.
How early can I apply?
Up to 6 months before your trip, and at least 15 days before departure.
Do I need the FRC for a Schengen visa?
Yes. The EU's official list for Pakistan asks every applicant for a Family Registration Certificate issued in English by NADRA.
What bank statement is needed?
Statements showing account movements for the last 6 months, signed and stamped by your bank. There is no single official minimum balance; the funds should match your trip cost and income.
I don't file tax returns. Can I still apply?
The EU list allows other documented proof of income or assets if you cannot provide the NTN, tax returns or bank statement. A weaker file is riskier, so speak to an adviser first.
What does an employer leave letter need to say?
Your approved leave dates, position, salary, how long you have worked there, the purpose of travel and the employer's contact number.
What insurance do I need?
Travel medical insurance of at least €30,000 covering all Schengen countries for the whole trip, including emergency treatment and repatriation. We can arrange a compliant policy.
Can a government employee apply?
Yes. Add an NOC from your department stating the dates of your visit.
My child is travelling with only one parent. What is needed?
A consent affidavit from the other parent with trip details, copies of their CNIC and passport, the child's school enrolment proof, and a court order if guardianship applies.
Do I need a hotel booking if I stay with relatives?
No hotel is needed, but you must show proof of sponsorship or private accommodation from your host; some countries require their official form.
Can I apply from Rawalpindi or Islamabad?
Yes. Files for most countries are submitted at application centres in Islamabad, and you can prepare everything with us at our Blue Area office or on WhatsApp.
Does Travel Visa Pk guarantee approval?
No agent can. The embassy decides. We make sure your file is complete, consistent and matches the official list, which avoids the most common refusal reasons.
