Common China visa refusal reasons and how we avoid them
What we see most often in files from Pakistani applicants, and the check we do before your file goes in.
Reason 1: Invitation letter that cannot be verified
Tourist and business visas rest on the invitation from China. A letter with missing company details, an unclear stamp or one bought online can be checked by the embassy and lead to refusal.
How we avoid it: We check the inviting company's details, stamp and signature against the embassy's invitation requirements, and ask for a corrected letter before the file is submitted.
Reason 2: Police certificate without MOFA attestation
First-time visitors in 5 years need a police certificate attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A plain police report is not accepted.
How we avoid it: We check your previous passports for China entries, tell you whether the certificate applies, and can arrange the MOFA attestation.
Reason 3: Photo that does not meet the specification
The online form rejects photos with shadows, an off-white background or the wrong size, and the file cannot be submitted until it is replaced.
How we avoid it: We check the photo against the embassy specification before the online form is completed.
Reason 4: Large deposits just before the statement
A lump sum paid in shortly before the bank statement is printed, with no matching income, makes the funds look borrowed.

Everyone needs a passport valid for 6 months with blank pages, a copy of the data page, the printed online form and confirmation, and a white-background photo. How much is the China visa price in Pakistan?

Do I need an interview?
First-time visitors in the last 5 years must attend in person for an interview. Officers can also ask others for an interview.
What does a business visa need?
An invitation from the Chinese company, copies of your tax payment certificates for 3 years and organisation registration, a 6-month bank statement, and for first visits the police certificate, tickets and hotel booking.
I work for the government. What else do I need?
An NOC to travel abroad from your employer, attested by MOFA. It can replace the verification letter, but an invitation letter is still needed.

Can I apply for a China visa without an agent?
Yes. You fill in the online form yourself and book your submission at the Chinese Visa Application Service Center. A tourist visa still needs an invitation from an authorised Chinese travel agency (or a group of more than 5 people), and small form or photo errors send the file back, which is why many applicants have an agent check the file before submission.
